Trip Description

Just across the water from Exmouth is the South Devon coastline - Dawlish Warren is often referred to as an 'Island' when looking over from Exmouth but it is in fact joined to the mainland and this is the perfect cruise to discover more about this sandy so-called paradise.

Sailing past Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve, you will see this 500-acre area of protected grassland, sand dunes and mudflats that give a home to many species of plants and birds from the unique perspective of the water. We then sail past the seaside resort of Dawlish Warren, Dawlish town and on to the infamous rock formation, The Parson and the Clerk, where legend has it that a grasping parson and his clerk were turned to stone by the devil as a monument to greed.

During each trip, your Skipper gives live, informative and entertaining commentary, making sure you don’t miss out on any of the sights and features of the seascape as you pass by. These cruises sail on our flagship, Pride of Exmouth. Onboard you will find a fully licensed bar serving a range of local ales and gin, alongside a range of hot and cold refreshments and a wide range of snacks. Keeping its traditional features, this boat is also modern, exceptionally clean and well-maintained and has toilets on board.

The outside upper decks have great views and plenty of fresh sea air for you, whilst our covered and heated lower decks have large wide windows, meaning you will always get great views of whatever the British weather has in store!

As this is a sea-going cruise, the sea state can be affected by the weather and the winds. If the weather conditions are unsuitable for a pleasant trip, we reserve the right to cancel. In these circumstances, we will offer to transfer you onto another date or issue you with a refund.

Sailing on selected dates between April and October, our South Devon Circular is the perfect opportunity to get out along the South Devon coast and discover what's across the other side of the water!
