Summer Evening BBQ Cruise
Spend a summers evening on the water with a delicious, locally-sourced BBQ, whilst listening to stunning live background music from the very popular Ian Boyd – the perfect way to unwind and enjoy time with your nearest and dearest, whilst taking in the breath-taking views which surround our Devon coast!
Cruise the calm and sheltered waters of the River Exe or along Devon’s magnificent coast, before returning to Exmouth Marina as the sun goes down. The tides and conditions on the day will decide the route of this cruise.
You will receive a warm welcome from our friendly Skipper and Crew as you board the boat, followed by a mouth-watering BBQ from a local catering company, which is included in the ticket price. Our catering team source as much of their produce as possible from local suppliers, featuring meats from Greendale Farm Shop. Either a meat or a vegetarian option can be selected when booking, however if you have any other dietary requirements then please contact us directly and we will be happy to help and advise on this!
We are delighted to have Ian Boyd entertaining us for this cruise. Ian is a popular Exmouth Singer – a bit of a local legend actually – a Former X-Factor and Stars in their Eyes contestant and he has a whole host of popular songs in his vocabulary. Old and new, he covers something for everyone and you can expect to get up for a bit of a boogie if you feel inclined!
Our boat features a fully licensed bar on board, serving a wide range of drinks and snacks and very reasonable prices and many of which are sourced from local Brewers and distilleries!
This will be the last of these events for the year and it’s a popular one, so if you would like to join us, go ahead and book via the blue button below!
Photo Corner – Dolphin Sightings
Gary Crutchley
Janet Hemmins
Although we never offer promise of any particular wildlife sightings for our cruises – of course, this is nature and everything in nature comes down to chance and luck – we are thrilled to have been treated to some truly special displays so far this month.
These images were taken by passengers and sent in to us for us to share and as you can see, the Dolphins have been out and about in the bay and ready to play!
Doggy Days Out
Did you know that we have many dog friendly cruises! We love to welcome your 4 legged family members with you onboard our vessels.
This is what Aimee Wilson posted on our Facebook page:
“Just want to give a shout out for Stuart Line Cruises… I spontaneously booked me and my daughters for a little River Exe tour today and as we were leaving the house spotted they’re also dog friendly so our old lady Roxie tagged along.
We’ve done lots this summer holidays, but the girls have said this was the best thing so far as Roxie was able to come too.
Highly recommend this for anyone stuck on something to do! I’ve been asked to book a longer trip for next week already!
Lucky to have these facilities on our doorstep… and it was really affordable too!”
Although not every cruise is suitable for dogs, we have an extensive range for you to choose from – just look out for the doggy symbol on our website!
Triassic Cruise with the Jurassic Coast Trust
Enjoy an Evening Triassic Coastal Cruise with the Jurassic Coast Trust
We are delighted to once again be working with our friends at the Jurassic Coast Trust to bring you our Evening Triassic Coastal Cruise to help raise money for the Jurassic Coast Trust.
There’s no better way to see England’s only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, than from the water. This circular cruise departs from Exmouth Marina and sails along the oldest section of the Site, known as the Triassic Era.
Sit back and relax as we sail through time with the most stunning views of this 185-million-year-old geological portrait. Whether you are on holiday in Devon or live in the area, this cruise is the perfect way for friends or groups to see this World Heritage Site with expert commentary from Ambassadors from the Jurassic Coast Trust and a tasty, optional Pasty from Chunk!
Happy 60th Birthday, Ian!
Not a day goes by that we do not think of you and almost 4 years on, we find it impossible to comprehend that you are not here anymore.
We hope you can see what’s going on down here – you business, thriving, just like you assured us it would. It was hard to believe then and we still find it hard to comprehend now. We are not sure how we are coping without you but we can only imagine it’s due to everything you equipped us with before you went.
We have challenges and difficult decisions to make almost daily – so many scenarios where we stop and think: ‘what would dad have done?’ We normally find what we hope to be the right answer and normally things work out the way they should. There’s lots of trial and error though, just like there always was but that’s how you made this little family business so great. It’s been tough at times but that’s life, eh? If it was easy, everyone would do it, as you used to say!
You are a Grandpa now to one perfect little boy, soon to be two. It is hard for us to accept that you didn’t get to know this about yourself but we see lots of you in him (the good and the menace), which we know would both thrill and fill you with pride in equal measure. Life is unrecognisably different in so many ways but at the same time, it feels like yesterday that you were with us and we carry you wherever we go. Philippa is the best Gigi there is – you knew she would be – and there are no words to explain what a great Dadda your son is. Light and laughter are back in our lives every day and you’d be so proud.
You wouldn’t want me to be sat in my office with tears in my eyes, you’d want me to be outside selling tickets and fillings your boats up and rest assured, it’s business as usual here. Things are great fun, we have a fantastic team, to whom we owe all the thanks in the world and we have continued to evolve the business in the best way we can, with the introduction of new things whilst continuing so much of what you created.
We know you’d want it that way, although we did sneak off for a very nice lunch and to raise a glass to you yesterday – you were insistent that we should learn to relax more, so here we are taking a moment for just that!
Thanks for everything and Happy Birthday, old man!
RNLI 200th Birthday Bash
This year, we helped the RNLI put on their 200th Birthday celebrations! It was the most perfect evening, celebrating 200 years of the inspiring men and women of the RNLI.
It was wonderful to see such a terrific turnout from local quayside businesses, RNLI Exmouth and resident Exmothians Exmouth Marina.
The BBQ from The Beach Pub was absolutely delicious, live music from Adam in the hat brought all the good sunshine vibes and what a humbling honour it was for us to host Exmouth RNLI volunteers and Crew on board Pride of Exmouth to celebrate such a momentous occasion.
A particularly special evening for our family, on what would have been Ian Stuart’s 60th Birthday and what a poignant way to mark this special day. We cannot think of a more perfect way to have celebrated.
Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes for Ian. You are still very much in our hearts.
September Sailings
As the summer holidays start to draw to a close, we feel grateful for what has been a varied but wonderful summer on the water. The weather has been against us on numerous occasions and whilst this has been frustrating at times, there have been some magical spells too and as always with the less desirable weather conditions, often comes the fascinating wildlife and other moments of magic on the water.
Anyone who has been familiar with Stuart Line Cruises for any period of time, will know that we operate throughout the year, come what may!
So, make no mistake, our season is not drawing to a close, it is merely transitioning from one season to the next and we are excited to share that our September schedule will feature our full compliment of summer cruises, with a fantastic range of Special Events thrown into the mix as well.
There trips running every single day and you can check our timetable and book online via the button below!
