EVENING TRIASSIC COASTAL CRUISE

Enjoy an Evening Triassic Coastal Cruise with the Jurassic Coast Trust

We are delighted to once again be working with our friends at the Jurassic Coast Trust to bring you our Evening Triassic Coastal Cruise to help raise money for the Jurassic Coast Trust.

There’s no better way to see England’s only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, than from the water. This circular cruise departs from Exmouth Marina and sails along the oldest section of the Site, known as the Triassic Era.

Sit back and relax as we sail through time with the most stunning views of this 185-million-year-old geological portrait. Whether you are on holiday in Devon or live in the area, this cruise is the perfect way for friends or groups to see this World Heritage Site with expert commentary from Ambassadors from the Jurassic Coast Trust.

Trip Description

This delightful evening cruise sails through the oldest section of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, accompanied by expert commentary from the Jurassic Coast Trust’s team.

Setting off at 18:00 from Exmouth Marina in the early evening light, we will take in the breathtaking Triassic cliffs of Orcombe Point including the Geoneedle - the official starting point of the Jurassic Coast. Also featuring the stunning rock formations around Sidmouth and Ladram Bay. We will return to Exmouth by 21:00.

Sailing on our Pride of Exmouth, we have an indoor heated lower deck with large panoramic windows for excellent viewing and an outdoor upper deck with plenty of fresh sea air and warm blankets in case it gets chilly.

Award-winning Chunk of Devon pasties (Steak or Vegan Chunki Roast Vegetable) are available to pre-order at the time of booking at an additional cost of £4.50 each. These will be served warm during the cruise for those who have ordered one.

In addition, we have a fully licensed cash bar on board, serving a choice of hot, cold, alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as a range of light refreshments including many from local producers. Our boats are exceptionally clean and well maintained and there are toilets on board.

As this is a sea-going cruise, the sea state can be affected by the weather and the winds. Please note that it's possible this cruise will travel westwards towards the English Riviera Global Geopark coast, rather than eastwards along the Jurassic Coast Triassic Cliffs.
If the weather conditions are unsuitable for a pleasant trip, we reserve the right to cancel. In these circumstances, we will offer to transfer you onto another date or issue you with a refund. Please note, a refund will not be offered in the event of altering the route of the cruise and this will only apply in the event of the cruise being cancelled.

This is a leisurely and informative cruise where there is plenty to be learned from the experienced commentary from the Jurassic Coast Trust Ambassadors.  We all look forward to welcoming you on board!
